Welch 1400N-90 Chemstar Explosion Proof Motor Vacuum Pump
The Welch 1400N-90 Chemstar pumps have a Teflon lined oil case and additional chemically resistant parts, making the Chemstar pump the best choice for harsh process emissions where an oil sealed vacuum pump is necessary.
ChemStar high vacuum pump Model 1400N is effective for drying using large manifolds (Shlenk lines). 25 lpm flow rate enables thorough drying, removing corrosive solvents while providing sufficient cold trap residence time to allow solvents to condense. With ultimate vacuum <0.001 torr, Model 1400N is also suitable for many corrosive chemistry concentrating, drying, and degassing operations as well as rotary evaporation of low-volatility solvents.
The 1400N-90 is designed specifically for class 1 Div 2 Explosion Proof environments and does NOT include a power cord. The 1400N-90 needs to be wired to a power source by a licensed electrician. Please review your wiring needs, as this wiring option is often ordered in error and is subject to a 15% restocking fee.
Two stage, oil sealed vacuum pumps should not be operated continuously at pressures above 1 Torr. Operating this vacuum pump at higher pressure will induce excessive oil spraying from the exhaust of the vacuum pump causing premature failure and void warranty. Please consult your Chemtech Scientific Representative for consultation, should the ultimate pressure of your process run above 1 Torr.
