The Welch 1402 DuoSeal Vacuum Pump, 115V 60Hz 1 PH, Model 1402B-01 is a rugged and robust pump for applications requiring pressures < 1 Torr. The 1402B-01 achieves < 0.001 Torr with a pumping speed of 160 liters/min (5.6 CFM).
Welch 1402, two stage, oil sealed vacuum pumps should not be operated continuously at pressures above 1 Torr. Operating this vacuum pump at higher pressure will induce excessive oil spraying from the exhaust of the vacuum pump causing premature failure and void warranty. Please consult your Chemtech Scientific Representative for consultation, should the ultimate pressure of your process run above 1 Torr.

The Welch Duoseal 1402B-01 vacuum pump should be located preferably in a clean and well ventilated area and adequate space should be provided wherever possible for routine maintenance such as changes of oil and belt adjustments and replacements. Above all, the pump should be located as closely as possible to its system in order to utilize it most efficiently. Its location should include such determining factors as the length and size of connections, the number of bends and the type of exhaust connections. |

The Welch catalog#: 1402 is a base pump only. It is an unmounted pump typically used for a drop in replacement for a failed pump. The Welch 1402 cat# does not include the base, belt or motor.
