Edwards E2M28FX Two Stage Rotary Vane Vacuum Pump – 19.5 CFM, 200-230/380-415V 3-Phase 50/60Hz, PFPE Prepared (A37341940)

The Edwards E2M28FX (part number A37341940) is a high-capacity two-stage oil-sealed rotary vane vacuum pump from the EM series, specially PFPE prepared (FX version) for use with corrosive, aggressive, or reactive vapors and gases. This 3-phase model features a versatile motor supporting 200-230/380-415V 3-ph 50 Hz or 200-230/460V 3-ph 60 Hz (hard-wired in the electrical box), making it perfect for facilities with three-phase power and continuous-duty operation.

With a strong pumping speed of 19.5 CFM (33.0 m³/h) at 60 Hz and an excellent ultimate vacuum of 1 × 10⁻³ mbar (7.5 × 10⁻⁴ Torr) without gas ballast, the E2M28FX offers faster pump-down and deeper vacuum than the E2M18 series. The FX designation prepares the pump for inert PFPE oils (such as Fomblin® or Krytox®), providing superior chemical resistance where standard hydrocarbon oils would degrade quickly.

Key Features and Benefits

  • Two-stage rotary vane design for deep ultimate vacuum and high vapor tolerance
  • PFPE prepared (FX version) — excellent compatibility with corrosive and aggressive chemicals

Why Choose the Edwards E2M28FX 3-Phase? This 3-phase PFPE-prepared version delivers higher pumping capacity than the E2M18FX while offering full chemical resistance and efficient performance for continuous-duty applications. It is the ideal choice for aggressive chemical processes, semiconductor work, or any harsh vacuum environment where standard pumps would fail prematurely.

Applications

  • Chemical and pharmaceutical vacuum processes
  • Semiconductor and thin-film coating
  • Aggressive vapor handling in laboratories
  • Vacuum drying and degassing of reactive materials
  • Mass spectrometry and analytical instruments
  • Harsh industrial vacuum environments

What's Included
